Blog Like A Champion Today!
Now, it’s pretty clear I love Notre Dame.
But how can you root against Navy?
It’s like…unpatriotic.
So I won’t root against our Midshipmen.
I’ll just scream my heart out for ND.
And so it’s time, once again, for that weekly tradition:
Cheer, cheer for Old Notre Dame
Wake up the echoes cheering her name,
Send the volley cheer on high,
Shake down the thunder from the sky,
What though the odds be great or small
Old Notre Dame will win over all,
While her loyal sons are marching
Onward to Victory.
You’ll notice I’m not gloating. Not that I ever do.
But it’s halftime. And I have to go to sleep. Because my stupid job is interfering with my life once again, and I’m pulling a 13 hours shift tonight.
And Notre Dame is up by nine.
I have faith in Brady Quinn, and I shall sleep well knowing my team is winning again.
But if I wake up, and find they have lost. I shall still sing a chorus of the fight song and wear my jersey with pride.
After I pull out a few fistfulls of hair…….
ADDENDUM: My hair is intact and I am ecstatic. Notre Dame won and the evil enemy (ya gotta have one in football) USC did not. And, no, that is not a gloat. To quote an old TV character: No brag, just fact. Whoo hoooo!!!!
Go Irish, I love ya, man!

I’m glad to read someone is having fun rooting for their team this year. Michigan State is in a bad place and hopefully John L. is on his way out. We got spanked today….and this downward spiral all started with Notre Dame…hmmmm… : )

Tennessee managed to defeat Alabama so all is well in the Rocky Top state (there would have been riots otherwise).
Glad to hear your team won.

I lived in Louisiana most of my adult life, and went to college in Virginia. BUT, I was born while my father was in graduate school at, you guessed it, Notre Dame. I was baptized under the Golden Dome.
So, Notre Dame has always been by favorite college football team. Even when I was at the University of Virginia, if Virginia lost but ND won, all was right with the world.

OH, my poor Navy Midshipmen. They were surely and severely trounced.
Ah, well. It really is all about the Army-Navy game for us anyway. Go Navy!

You have to applaud the Packer’s 2nd win in as many weeks, too, since you’re soon to be a UWGB student!! (Oh, and off the football topic, my Michigan Tech Huskies hockey team won AGAIN!)

I have been a Notre Dame fan since the 1980’s. Yet I my father and step father both graduated from UCLA, so I am a bigger fan of UCLA.
It sure would have been nice if Notre Dame had lost to UCLA.
But I really want Notre Dame to beat everyone else, especially the evil USC.
