Friday Fussiness
This nurse should be totally ashamed of herself.
She is wearing a smooshed cap.
A big fat wrinkle, plain as day.
In fact, the cap is plain as day. It needs a black stripe to be a 10/10 on the Emergiblog Cap Rating Scale.
I would have been happy to give it a 9/10, but the wrinkle drops is all the way down to a 5/10.
Lord knows, we can’t be a nurse AND be married, now can we?
No wonder the wedding gown “waited”. Who would want to marry such a slob?

Well good morning! It’s Friday, 9 am and I am at the corner table at Starbucks! Our drink du jour is the always-healthy non-fat-Venti-one-Equal latte! With a spinach wrap for breakfast! Have a seat, there’s plenty of room!
First of all, it is time for the Medical Blog Award nominations for 2007 over at Medgadget! The nominations are open until December 31st. I just placed my nominations, head on over and place yours!
Congratulations are in order for Dr. Peg over at Pegspot ! Her book, 50 Ways to Leave Your 40s is off to the printers and should be available to us in March of 2008! Having just left my 40s, I am dying to read it!

What is it about turning 50? It’s like someone lit a burner under my derriere.
- I’m back in school.
- This morning I woke up with an overwhelming urge to take violin lessons.
You think that’s odd?
- I went through a period of two weeks where I wanted a Ford F-150 truck!
Badly!
I’ve never driven a truck in my life.
- I have this overwhelming desire to learn all I can about Theodore Roosevelt.
Now.
- I must crochet afghans for my entire family by next Christmas.
Starting today!
Can you develop a hyperactivity disorder at the age of 50?
Maybe all these years the only thing holding me back was estrogen.
Humph.
As for now, well, I’m catching up on my blogroll friends.
Then I’m taking my daughter and her friend to see I Am Legend.
If I can sit still that long….

Crochet is so retro. So carpal tunnel. How about some knitted violin bow holders?

I haven’t hit 50 quite yet but I can see how I might go into overdrive, too. I mean, how many good years do ya have left!?

That is so weird! I turned 50, went back to school and had an overwhelming desire to play the violin also!

Kim, you are obviously suffering from MC (MC= Midlife Crisis) syndrome. Take two aspirin, and buy a red sports car in the morning:-)

Nothing wrong with wanting to reinvent yourself and/or take up new hobbies and interests. I do it all the time.
And no, it’s not necessarily a midlife crisis or event. I’m in my mid-30′s and like I said, I’m always starting up something new.
Call me a well rounded person……..

I Am Legend was one of the scariest movies I have seen in years. I actually covered my eyes. Please report!
