Nursing Scholarships for Nurse Bloggers!

I am very fortunate to have great companies that help support Emergiblog through their advertising.

I am happy to announce that two of my advertisers are offering scholarships to nursing bloggers!

************************

The first scholarship is being offered by Scrubs Gallery.

Is your story or experience worth $1000?

You write about your life and your experiences as a professional nurse on a daily/weekly basis. A $1000 story could be sitting on your blog right now, but you won’t know unless you enter! Trust me, if I was eligible I would do it in a heartbeat!

*********************

Are you interested in writing about critical nursing issues this election year?

Are you interested in a wider audience for your views?

Are you interested in a one-thousand dollar scholarship, just for sharing those views with your fellow nurses?

Did you notice this ad on the right sidebar?

Valuecare, Valuenurses is looking for you.

You have the opinions, now you can have the platform and earn a scholarship while you blog! Simply click on the ad or the link to find out the details.

********************

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank both Scrubs Gallery and Valuecare, Valuenurses for their continuting support of Emergiblog.

Hey Now, You’re An All-Star!

Yeah!!!!

My first NASCAR race and my guy wins the million dollar All-Star Race!

Yeah, and you can bet your socks I voted like nobody’s business to make sure he DID get in if he did not qualify in.

And then he wins.

It’s the thrill of a lifetime, truly. If you aren’t a fan, you can’t imagine and if you are a fan, I don’t have to describe it.

It’s Monday, I’m exhausted, I’m hoarse and I am still in North Carolina, awaiting my flight home via Houston.

I cannot get over how polite people are here in NC! Everyone smiles, everyone calls you “ma’am”, everyone has time to talk to you. Hell, everyone has time! There is a whole different pace here, and it took me exactly 24 hours to get used to it. I am most definitely in a “North Carolina State of Mind”. It’s great. The only place greener is Ireland.

There is an entire world out here that is NOT California.

Wish I could stay.

I’ll be back next year, only this time I’ll be staying for the Coca-Cola 600, too.

Change of Shift, or Gentlemen, Start…Your…Engines!

…is hosted by Dr. Emer over at Parallel Universes!

Many thanks to the good doctor for hosting the nursing blogosphere this week.

It looks like he sent an email to the majority of folks on my “Change of Shift” list, so I won’t send out an announcement this week.

As I am sitting in Oakland International Airport en route to Charlotte, North Carolina by way of Salt Lake City, I intend to read every single post!

Our next host will be Miss-Elaine-ious, RN and submissions can be sent to “misselaineious1 at gmail dot com” or through Blog Carnival.

********************

Bet you are wondering why I’m at the airport!

I’m goin’ to the NASCAR All-Star Race this weekend, complete with tour of garage area, pit area and a VIP event with Dale Jarrett!

I’m going to be in the same venue as Kasey Kahne (sigh!) and plan to boo Kyle Busch off the track. Arrogance personified, that man is!

Should be a blast, as I am going with my friend from Jr. High; my husband calls us Thelma and Louise.

I have so much to blog about, but Benadryl, Meclizine and blogging do not mix.

I’ll blog more when I get to Salt Lake City!
